On behalf of GEDA Construction & NI Water, JUNO secured planning permission at the existing Lisburn Waste-Water Treatment Works (WWTW) site for a new Motor Control Centre (“MCC”) Building to house existing motor control centres currently located across the site. The WWTW site is located within the Lagan Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) beyond settlement limits, and the full planning application required discussions and cooperation with Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council and statutory consultees. In addition, JUNO led the process for discharging pre-commencement development planning conditions, enabling the project to proceed to construction soon after the initial planning approval.
